Glashütte Original launches The 70s line
Glashütte Original introduces The 70s, a vintage-collection line combining retro design and mechanical watchmaking, with three models at launch.
At a glance
- All three models have a fine hexagrid dial structure, a date display at 3 o'clock and sapphire crystals on both sides. Their square stainless steel cases are water-resistant to 10 bar (100 m).
- Vinyl Record takes cues from an LP’s silk-matt black finish and is limited to 500 pieces. Tweed Amp draws on brown amp coverings, while Stereo Panel references 1970s analogue hi-fi systems.
- The automatic Calibre 36 runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers up to 100 hours of power reserve. Tweed Amp and Stereo Panel use Calibre 36-11; Vinyl Record uses the black-rhodium-plated Calibre 36-10.
- The patented Groove Lock System allows the case connecting element and clasp to be changed without tools.
