Urwerk UR-300 Time Quantum Reconfigures Its Wandering-Hour Display
Urwerk’s UR-300 Time Quantum introduces a modular wandering-hour display whose T-shaped frame and rotating hour prisms change configuration at each hour transition.

At a glance
- Four three-sided hour prisms sit on a T-shaped structure. The active prism travels along a 108-degree minutes scale from 0 to 60.
- At the hour change, the frame jumps by 72 degrees, its stem and crossbar exchange roles, and the prisms rotate to present the next hour.
- The automatic UR-30.01V combines a Vaucher base with an in-house display module, Dual Flow Turbines and a double mainspring barrel. It runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour with a 40-hour power reserve.
- The Grade 5 titanium case measures 45.2mm wide, 58.8mm long and 18.25mm thick, with 30m water resistance. Titan and AlTiN versions come on NATO-style straps; AlTiN receives a PE-CVD finish.
- Production is limited to 25 pieces per version, priced at CHF 168,000 excluding taxes.
